Chinese 4G subscribers increased 26.7 million in August to 277 million, according to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Youku-Tudou announces its MVNO business Yuku Mobile. Its first offering, launched together with Chinese smartphone maker Meizu, includes the premium subscription Youku has been providing to its video viewers.  (via Sina Tech)

McDonald’s stores in Shanghai now accept the two major mobile payment services, Alibaba’s Alipay and WeChat Payment. All McDonald’s stores across China will support the two by the first quarter of 2016.  (via Sina Tech & BBTNews)
