Chubao, the company behind popular keyboard app TouchPal Keyboard, now offers free international calling. It’s been available in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Italy, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, according to the company.

Chubao launched free local calls in October 2014. The company hopes to make revenues in the future through advertising and other business-facing services.

Several days ago WeChat released WeChat Out, a paid-for international calling service, in the U.S., India and Hong Kong.


JD.com and connected products and solutions provider HARMAN have formed partnership to create smart home products together.

The first product will be JBL Go Smart, a portable Bluetooth speaker. Linglong Technology, a joint venture between JD.com and speech recognition solution developer iFLYTEK, also participated in the development of the speaker.


The test drive service Didi launched two months ago has attracted some 1.8 million users who have made a total of 1.4 million orders. — Forbes


LeTV, which launched its first smartphone series in April 2015, had shipped 4 million units as of the end of 2015. The company eyes 15 million unit shipments in 2016. (via 21jingji)
