WeChat is beta testing a separate app for enterprise with select business customers. — CuriosityChina

Dingtalk (or Dingding), the team collaboration app of Alibaba launched in late 2014, recently claimed that it had surpassed one million business customers. (via Time Weekly)

Alipay app’s City Services has added a legal service channel which is currently available in approximately 20 cities. (via Alipay)

Toutiao, the leading personalized news aggregation service, reached 40 million daily active users earlier this year, CEO Zhang Yiming said at the company’s fourth anniversary event this past Saturday. Its major revenue source is advertising.

The company believe Toutiao app and Tencent’s news app are the two largest that have a combined 100 million daily active users, about half of the total in China market. (full transcript in Chinese)

Kakao, the leading mobile messaging and content company of South Korea, announces partnership with Huace Media, a film and television affiliate of Baidu, that the latter will produce and distribute movies, TV dramas or web dramas based on webtoon titles of Kakao’s Daum in China.

Cainiao, Alibaba’s logistics affiliate, is valued at a reported US$7.7 billion in its first round of external fundraising. — Bloomberg
